Ray Odoms
back
to Dave Workman
1935-2000
Ray Odoms was a San
Francisco bluesman who closed out his musical career fronting
and playing keyboards (a beautiful old Hammond B3) for Dave Workman, most
often at The Saloon. Ray "loved
nice things, loved good food, had the world's best smile (with
a gold star tooth!), played damn near everything in G, and was
a world class dominoes player," Dave remembers.
Big Ray passed away unexpectedly, taken by a heart attack, on November
14, 2000.
